Brazil's final group game against Scotland. By this point, Brazil should already be through. Scotland will fight for their tournament lives. This game may determine whether Scotland can sneak third place and keep alive a chance of being among the eight best third-place teams.
THE BRAZIL EXPECTATION
Brazil's fans expect a World Cup title every four years. The gap between 2002 and 2026 will be 24 years by the time the tournament ends. That is the longest title drought in Brazilian football history during the World Cup era.
Their squad has raw talent throughout. The question that follows Brazil every tournament is whether that talent can be organized into a cohesive, mentally tough unit that handles pressure in knockout moments.
